Future Islands played Radio City Music Hall wtih Ed Schrader’s Music Beat (pics, video, setlist)
Future Islands just began their North American tour supporting their seventh album, this year’s People Who Aren’t There Anymore, which hit NYC on Thursday night (6/20) for a show at Radio City Music Hall. They were in NYC for a couple of intimate release shows back in January, but this time they brought a much more elaborate stage set-up for vocalist Samuel T. Herring to dance and kick his way around. Most of their set came from the new album, including “King of Sweden,” “The Thief,” “Say Goodbye,” “Peach,” and “Give Me the Ghost Back,” but they also played songs from throughout their discography, and Ed Schrader’s Music Beat, who opened the show, joined them on The Far Field track “Shadows.” See pictures from the Thursday night by Ellen Qbertplaya below, along with attendee-taken video and the setlist.
