While fans are still waiting for the promised new album Tribes, the reunited Culture Club have been pleasing crowds with sets filled to the brim with favorites from their ’80s golden era. In addition to all four original members, Culture Club are touring as a thirteen piece band, including a horn section, three backing singers and more. The band played NJ’s Wellmont Theater on July 12 and opened their set with “Church of the Poisoned Mind,” before running through such hits as “I’ll Tumble 4 Ya,” “Time (Clock of the Heart),” “Miss Me Blind,” “Do You Really Want to Hurt Me?” and “Karma Chameleon,” as well as covers of Bread’s “Everything I Own” and T-Rex’s “Bang a Gong (Get it On).” Setlist is below and check out a set of pics from Culture Club’s Wellmont Theatre show above.
The day after Wellmont, Culture Club played Ford Amphitheatre at Coney Island Boardwalk. Anyone go to that show?
