Following day one and day two of Coachella 2016, the first weekend wrapped up on Sunday (4/17) with sets from jazz musician Kamasi Washington, punk staples Rancid and The Vandals, pop songwriter Sia, post-black metallers Deafheaven, DIY duo Girlpool, country breakout Chris Stapleton, cheese-rockers The 1975, the unpredictable Death Grips, the always-solid Beach House, and plenty more. One of 2016’s most exciting artists, Anderson .Paak, brought out southern rap great T.I. during his set and also made an appearance during TOKiMONSTA‘s set. If you actually subjected yourself to Calvin Harris‘ headlining set (during Deafhaven’s set), you would have seen Rihanna make a surprise appearance to sing “We Found Love.”
Sia also played a Rihanna song (“Diamonds,” which she wrote), and she had on-screen projections of Kristen Wiig, Paul Dano and Tig Notaro during her set.
Check out videos of RiRi/Calvin and Anderson/T.I., plus tons of more pictures from Coachella day 3, below.
