Bikini Kill are winding down their summer North American tour, and stopped in NYC over the weekend for a pair of shows at Brooklyn Paramount with Birthday Girl (on Saturday, 9/7) and Sweeping Promises (on Sunday, 9/8). We went to Saturday’s show, where the sold out crowd was amped up to rock out to the band’s Riot Grrrl anthems. Bikini Kill stop in Philadelphia (Franklin Music Hall on September 10 with Sweeping Promises) and Baltimore (Baltimore Soundstage on September 11 with Sweeping Promises and September 12 with Birthday Girl) this week, which wraps up their current tour. Earlier this summer, they made their late night debut on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and had a day declared in their honor in Olympia.
