Today in weird news, Steve Buscemi was reportedly punched in the face out of nowhere by a strange as he was walking in NYC. His publicist said in a statement, “Steve Buscemi was assaulted in Mid-Town Manhattan, another victim of a random act of violence in the city. He is ok and appreciates everyone’s well wishes.”
The news was first reported by The New York Post, who said that Buscemi suffered swelling to the face and left eye and was taken to Bellevue Hospital for treatment. The attacker is still on the loose, according to the NYPD.
Making it weirder, it comes just about a month after Steve’s Boardwalk Empire co-star Michael Stuhlbarg was hit in the back of the head with a rock while walking in the Upper East Side.
