Weezer played Atlanta’s Shaky Knees festival this weekend and are gearing up for an arena tour where they’ll play the Blue Album in full. Just ahead of Shaky Knees, the band played an very intimate show at Santa Ana’s 300-capacity The Constellation Room on 4/30 where their set was full of rarely played deep cuts and six songs that made their live debut.
The six songs that got their first live plays ever were all fairly new: “Sheila Can Do It” from 2021’s Van Weezer, “Everything Happens For a Reason,” “Here Comes the Rain,” “Bird With a Broken Wing’ and “Mirror Image’ from 2021’s OK Human, and “Any Friend of Diane’s” from 2017’s Pacific Daydream.
They also played “Dope Nose,” “Slave” and “Cleopatra” for the first time since 2016, “Eulogy for a Rock Band” for the first time since 2015, “Anonymous” for the first time since 2014, and “The Angel and the One” for the first time since 2013.
The set also include “Holiday,” “Across the Sea,” and more, and they came back for an encore cover of Hole‘s “Celebrity Skin” (which they also covered at Shaky Knees).
