French duo The Limiñanas now have a video for “Garden of Love,” the single from their forthcoming album Malamore. The stylish clip was directed Fabio Coelho and Aurélien Richter and stars Elisa Leonie Migda who wanders through the titular fertile land until finding the band. There’s also a little hat-tip to The Rocky Horror Picture show. Say the band:
We met the directors Fabio Coelho and Aurélien Richter thanks to Alban, our guitarist. They both belong to a collective called “Le Parking” which makes pictures, music videos and short films. We just defined the three principles set plans, the tunnel, the character of the garden Elisa (Elisa Leonie Migda), the mouth and the general atmosphere. They shot it in one day and did the special effects/editing in stride.
Not seen in the video: the single’s guest star, Peter Hook, but his distinctive bass noodlings are all over the song. The video makes its premiere in this post and you can watch it below.
Malamore is out April 15 via Because Music.
