As promised, Decemberists frontman Colin Meloy did a livestream this afternoon for KEXP, during which he played some solo acoustic songs and also answered some interview questions. He opened with the timely “Everything Is Awful” from the latest Decemberists album, 2018’s I’ll Be Your Girl; reached back to Her Majesty for “The Gymnast, High Above the Ground” and “Red Right Ankle”; and also took the opportunity to debut a new song: the lovely, folky “William Fitzwilliam.” The new song comes in at the 27:48 mark.
