Tame Impala‘s eight-minute “Let it Happen” was the first track to be released from their new album, Currents, and five months later it still sounds pretty fresh. The band have also just released a video for the song, directed by David Wlson (who made Arcade Fire’s “We Exist” video). With the song cut down to a spare four minutes (though there’s a visual reference to the song’s original running time), the video stars Michael Instone as a man who really looks like he really needs a vacation, though that’s probably not why he’s at the airport here. It leads to a long, strange trip. Watch it below.
The band will be in America this October, including sold-out NYC shows at Radio City Music Hall and Terminal 5.
