Velocity Girl have announced a deluxe remastered and expanded double-LP edition of their 1994 album ‘¡Simpatico!,’ which will be out February 13 via Sub Pop. The original album, which was produced by John Porter (The Smiths, Roxy Music), has been newly remastered and comes with a second disc of non-LP tracks from the era.
Where early Velocity Girl releases were noisy shoegaze, ‘¡Simpatico!’ turned more toward shimmering indiepop inspired by ’80s UK alternative, and includes college radio / alt-rock hits “Sorry Again” and “I Can’t Stop Smiling.” Among the eight bonus tracks — also all remastered — are covers of New Order’s “Your Silent Face” and Echo & The Bunnymen’s “Seven Seas.” You can listen to “Your Silent Face” below.
