Tour post: Pete Davidson, L’Imperatrice, Joe Pera, Piebald / Weakened Friends, Knuckle Puck, more

Here’s a roundup of recent tour news. Check the Tour Dates category for more.

JOE PERA

Joe Pera has added a few shows to his The Peras Tour, including new stops in Austin and Boston, plus second shows in Bethlehem and Providence. All dates are here.

PETE DAVIDSON

Pete Davidson has added a few dates to his December tour, including Cedar Rapids, and a second show at NYC’s Beacon Theater on December 23. (His 12/22 Beacon show is sold out.) Head here for all dates.

THE ROLLING STONES

The Rolling Stones announced their 2024 North American tour last week, and have since added second shows in New Jersey, Chicago and Los Angeles.

IDLES

IDLES’ new album is out in February, and their busy tour schedule will keep them on the road all year, including another North American tour.

LCD SOUNDSYSTEM / NATION OF LANGUAGE

LCD Soundsystem’s Tri-Boro Tour wraps up next week with four nights at Knockdown Center, and they’ve announced that Nation of Language will open all of them. There are afterparties too, with DJs and a pop-up wine bar from James Murphy’s restaurant Four Horsemen.

ALL POINTS EAST 2024

Speaking of LCD and Nation of Language, they were both announced as part of London festival All Points East’s 2024 lineup, which also includes Jai Paul and Pixies.

PHISH @ SPHERE

Move over, U2! Phish are the next band to play Las Vegas’ high tech venue, Sphere.

PIEBALD / WEAKENED FRIENDS

Piebald’s December tour is coming up soon, and making it even better is that Weakened Friends (who we just included in our list of the best punk songs of November) are opening. That includes a Brooklyn show on December 18 at The Meadows, also with Knife City.

L’IMPERATRICE

Parisian disco outfit L’Impératrice have announced “Double Trouble,” a string of two-night stands in London, Berlin, Paris and NYC in spring 2024. The NYC shows are at Racket on April 9 and Music Hall of Williamsburg on April 10.

THE POSTAL SERVICE / DEATH CAB FOR CUTIE

After celebrating the classic 2003 albums’ 20th anniversaries on tour this year, The Postal Service and Death Cab for Cutie will keep it going with more North American shows in April and May.

KEVIN DREW (BSS)

Broken Social Scene‘s Kevin Drew released Aging, a new solo album of piano ballads, earlier this month, and he’s announced a solo tour supporting it. The North American shows are his first solo dates in nine years, and run through January of 2024, starting in Halifax and wrapping up in Los Angeles.

MILITARIE GUN / POOL KIDS / SPIRITUAL CRAMP

Militarie Gun announced a 2024 headlining North American tour, and it’s with support from a slew of great bands. Pool Kids and Spiritual Cramp are on all dates, with additional support from Death LensSpaced, and Roman Candle, varying by date.

KNUCKLE PUCK / REAL FRIENDS / ARM’S LENGTH / ONE STEP CLOSER

Chicago pop punks Knuckle Puck are in the midst of their co-headlining tour with Real Friends, which also features support from Wilkes-Barre hardcore band One Step Closer and Ontario emo band Arm’s Length. They’ll be in NYC on December 9 at Irving Plaza, and you can see all dates here.

NOFX

NOFX will play nine albums across three NYC shows on their final tour.

HOME IS WHERE / OGBERT THE NERD

Home Is Where will continue supporting their fantastic 2023 album The Whaler on the road in 2024, and they’ve announced their first shows of the year. They’ll make Brooklyn and Philly stops with New Brunswick, NJ emo band Ogbert the Nerd and one more “very special secret band” that’s still to be announced.

HOT ROD CIRCUIT

Just last week, we included Hot Rod Circuit‘s 2000 album if It’s Cool With You, It’s Cool With Me in a list of 10 underrated classics of early 2000s emo, so, needless to say, it’s cool with us that they just announced a round of shows playing that album in full.

CIRITH UNGOL

After returning from a lengthy hiatus in 2016, heavy metal/hard rock legends Cirith Ungol say that 2024 will be their last year performing live and have begun announcing dates.

CITY MORGUE

Horrorcore duo City Morgue released a new album, My Bloody America, in September, and they’ve announced a spring tour supporting it. Their new US dates begin on April 4 in Pittsburgh and run through mid-May, stopping in New Haven, Raleigh, Asheville, New Orleans, Tucson, San Diego, Reno, Denver, Milwaukee, Baltimore, and more.

MILWAUKEE METALFEST

After announcing their initial 2024 lineup right before Thanksgiving, Milwaukee Metalfest has added a bunch more bands to the bill, and broken the lineup down by day. Head here for all the details.

IMMINENCE

Swedish metalcore band Imminence are on their first ever North American tour now, which wraps up with an NYC show on Irving Plaza on December 3. See all dates here.

MEET ME @ THE ALTAR

Meet Me @ The Altar head out on the “Say It To My Face” tour in January with Honey Revenge, John Harvie, and Elliot Lee, including an NYC show at Irving Plaza on January 25. See all dates here.

GIRLSCHOOL

British heavy metal/hard rock vets Girlschool have been going strong since 1978, and they’ve announced the first leg of what they say will be their final US tour.

BUSTA RHYMES

Busta Rhymes will support his new album Blockbusta on tour in 2024, starting March 13 in San Francisco and wrapping up in NYC.
