Brooklyn minimal pop duo The Tablets (Liz Godoy and Brenden Beu), who you may remember from their Ground EP in 2014, will be releasing an album’s worth of music this year, but in a novel way — via a series of five flexi-discs that will all be released by Mon Amie Reords. The first of those is out on Friday (2/24) and should appeal to fans of Broadcast, the weirder side of DFA, and discordant early-’80s synthwave. A-side “Not a Sign” melts noise and beauty, while the flip, “Tyranny Glitches,” is decidedly more laid back. The latter makes its premiere in this post and you can listen to it, and “Not a Sign,” below.
