In the time since The Story So Far released their last album, 2018’s Proper Dose, multiple members focused on side projects (vocalist Parker Cannon on his hardcore-adjacent pop punk band No Pressure, guitarist Kevin Geyer on his more indie-leaning Same Side), and original bassist Kelen Capener left the band, but now they’re finally ready to return with the first TSSF album in six years. It’s called I Want To Disappear, it comes out June 21 via Pure Noise, and we’ve teamed with the band on an exclusive orange crush & black butterfly vinyl variant, limited to just 500 copies. The album was produced by Jon Markson (Drug Church, Drain, Koyo, etc), and it features “Big Blind,” the pop punk banger they released last year, as well as the more tempered, atmospheric single “Letterman” that just came out. It’s a side of them that they began exploring further on Proper Dose, and it continues to suit them just as well as the more traditionally pop punk stuff. Earlier this week, TSSF announced that they’ll provide direct support on A Day To Remember‘s arena and amphitheater tour this spring/summer, which also includes Four Year Strong on all dates and additional support from Scowl, Militarie Gun, and Pain of Truth on select dates.
The tour doesn’t hit NYC, but there are two NJ shows: Atlantic City on June 21 at Hard Rock Live at Etess Arena with Militarie Gun and Newark’s Prudential Center on June 26 with Pain of Truth. Tickets for those shows here. All dates are listed below.
