The Smile‘s anticipated third album (and second of the year), Cutouts, arrives on Friday, and Thom Yorke, Jonny Greenwood, and Tom Skinner have given us one more early taste with a final advance single, the quietly hypnotic “Bodies Laughing.” Hear it below.
The band are also holding pop-up “electronic installations” for Cutouts in London (10/1-105 at 17 Bell St, 11am-5pm) and NYC (10/1-10/3 at 47 Canal St, 7pm-10pm) this week, where they say they’ll have exclusive visuals from Weirdcore and codes to unlock album tracks early. The Smile cancelled their tour in July when Greenwood became “seriously ill from an infection” and was hospitalized; they don’t have any shows coming up at the moment. Stay tuned.
