Post-punk greats The Chameleons will be back in North America this spring for a short tour. Dates are with Texas darkwave band Twin Tribes and begin in Minneapolis on April 25 and other stops include Chicago, Toronto, Montreal, Boston, PHilly, Norwalk, Brooklyn, and Washington, DC. All dates are listed below.
The Brooklyn show is at Warsaw on May 3 and tickets for all just-announced shows go on sale Friday, February 3 at 10 AM.
The Chameleons are also gearing up to release Arctic Moon, their first album in 24 years. “It’s quite different from anything Chameleons has done before,” says frontman Mark Burgess. “I know this will probably polarize the legacy audience, but we’re quite excited about how it’s developing. I think the songwriting is much more mature in a lot of ways, which is to be expected, I suppose, given our age, but I, for one, really believe we’re taking the band forward, and I’m quite excited about it.” Stay tuned for more details.
