The Black Keys‘ cancelled fall arena tour continues to generate discussion and think-pieces on the state of touring in 2024, and last week New York Times reported that the band fired its managers, Irving Azoff and Steve Moir, amid the fallout from the cancellation. Patrick Carney hasn’t said much on social media throughout the whole affair, but he’s now shared a short comment on Twitter, writing, “We got fucked. I’ll let you all know how so it doesn’t happen to you. Stay tuned.”

In a statement following the cancellation of their tour, which they didn’t remark on initially, the band first said they wanted “to assure everyone that Dan & Patrick are alive and well,” continuing that they’d “decided to make some changes to the North American leg of the International Players Tour that will enable us to offer a similarly exciting, intimate experience for both fans and the band, and will be announcing a revised set of dates shortly.” Those dates haven’t been revealed yet.
