A GofundMe has been set up to raise money for emergency medical expenses needed by dedicated book and music blogger (and ex-BrooklynVegan contributor) Lareghearted Boy. I was so sad to just learn about this, but thrilled to see that so much money has already been raised in the short time this fundraiser has been underway. Through the years, Largehearted Boy has promoted wonderful works by outstanding writers and artists. David’s passion has inspired and motivated new and accomplished artists alike. People who know David love David. He is a kind and compassionate soul. A multitude of authors, musicians and artists have expressed that working with David on their playlists has been the highlight of their publicity campaigns.
After supporting so many for so many years, David now needs support.
Since it’s inception, Largehearted Boy has been a project of love and not profit.
On September 27, David was diagnosed with a serious illness and admitted to the hospital. David’s medical bills are significant. Additionally, he is unable to work to cover his living expenses, including rent, while hospitalized.
While David loves words, words cannot express the gratitude and humilty felt for all of you who help during this time. Thank you from the deepest parts of our hearts. While we may not be able to adequately express what your kindness and generosity means, know that your help is truly appreciated.
