Creepoid are excitingly gearing up to reunite next year, but first, Mugger–the Austin hardcore band with two members of Creepoid plus members of Radioactivity and The Well–will release their debut album Luck Forever this week. It comes out Friday (11/15), and a full stream premieres in this post.
The album features Negative Approach singer John Brannon on the song “Find Out,” and if you like Negative Approach’s fast, vicious, OG-style hardcore punk, you’ll probably like Mugger too. Singer Anna Troxell says:
Luck Forever was written for everybody. I fell in love with hardcore going to shows at the Killtime and the First Unitarian in the late ’90s/early ’00s in Philadelphia. However, I do remember wishing that I felt more empowered to be a creator within that scene, rather than just an observer. With this album, and everything Mugger does, I’d like to contribute to building a scene that not only makes room for all kinds of folks, but also makes them feel like they are vested to create something of their own.
