We caught two very different St. Vincent festival sets this weekend – she was in high-octane rock god mode with a full band behind her at Panorama on Saturday (7/28), and stripped down and accompanied by Doveman on piano at Newport Folk Festival on Friday (7/27). Annie Clark stuck to her original material at Panorama, but she and Doveman broke out a cover at Newport, of Joni Mitchell’s “Court and Spark.” She took video of them practicing it before the festival, including Doveman playing piano via an iPad app, and you can watch that below.
St. Vincent also played a third festival this weekend – she headed to Detroit, MI’s Mo Pop on Sunday (7/29). Stay tuned for our pictures.
