Buffalo’s Spaced released one of this year’s best and catchiest hardcore albums with This Is All We Ever Get, their debut LP for the legendary Revelation Records, and now the five band members have told us about their favorite albums of the year, with two picks by each member. It ranges from other hardcore and hardcore-adjacent bands (Gouge Away, Haywire, High Vis, fellow Buffalo band Fatal Visions) to universally-loved pop (Charli XCX) to various other things in between (A Country Western, Amyl and the Sniffers, Macseal). Head below to see the full list and what the members of Spaced had to say about each pick.
Next year, Spaced will hit the road opening for UK band Boston Manor, alongside Farmer’s Wife and Ellis. That hits Brooklyn on May 7 at The Meadows. See the tour poster with all dates below.

Spaced’s 10 Favorite Albums of 2024
Lexi Reyngoudt (vocals):
Charli XCX – BRAT
I love Charli and this album is just so perfect front to back. Pop music is BACK!
Gouge Away – Deep Sage
When Gouge Away came back from their brief hiatus I was so excited and knew that this album was going to be perfect.
Dan McCormick (drums):
High Vis – Guided Tour
One of the best bands out there. Their soundscape continues to evolve while the heart remains the same. Another incredible record.
Fatal Visions – Found Dead EP
One of the best bands Buffalo has to offer. Incredible follow up to the demo.
Donny Arthur (guitar):
HAYWIRE – Conditioned for Demolition
A real deal hardcore band for the modern era. You gotta see it live.
Amyl and the Sniffers – Cartoon Darkness
Fun lyrics, great riffs. For real rockers only
John Vaughan (bass):
Macseal – Permanent Repeat
This record is full of ear-worm choruses and is very well produced.
Four Year Strong – Analysis Paralysis
Heavy and catchy, as always. This band is a power house that cannot be stopped!
Joe Morganti (guitar):
Spiral XP – I Wish I Was A Rat
Great production and tracks. Amazing album name too. Doesn’t get much better than this.
A Country Western – Ridgeline
Has some of the catchiest tunes I’ve heard this year. “The Dreamer” is certified heat. Very cool band.
