Sorority Noise have been having a great year, with the release of You’re Not As _____ As You Think, their first album for Triple Crown and their best yet. They’re now adding to this already-great year with a new 7″ called Alone that features two songs from the You’re Not As sessions that they didn’t feel fit onto the album. The first, “Week 51,” is more post-rocky than Sorority Noise usually get (with trumpet by Conor Murphy of Foxing/Smidley), and the second, “Fermata,” has a noticeable dose of the band’s Manchester Orchestra influence. Sorority Noise are about to begin a tour opening for Citizen (whose new album As You Please came out this month on Run For Cover), with additional support from Great Grandpa. As mentioned, that tour includes a NYC show on October 26 at Irving Plaza (tickets).
