Soccer Mommy has been previewing new music at a series of intimate solo shows in a few cities, and now she’s unveiled the studio version of a new track, “Lost.” It’s a gorgeous song which pairs orchestral backing with Sophie Allison’s plaintive vocals, and you can watch the video, filmed by Anna Pollack, below.
“‘Lost’ feels like something new and something old at the same time,” Allison says. “It’s a song that’s full of reflection and I wanted its production to really capture that feeling. I’m happy to have a chance to play it at these more intimate solo shows, because I think it really shines in that setting.”
In addition to playing some new songs, Soccer Mommy also covered Elliott Smith’s “The Biggest Lie” with Phoebe Bridgers at her recent Los Angeles date. See all of her upcoming shows below.
Soccer Mommy’s most recent album was 2022’s Sometimes, Forever, and you can pick up our exclusive, limited edition milky clear vinyl variant in the BV store.
