The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame has announced that this year’s induction ceremony, which happens November 3 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, will be streamed live via Disney+ from 8-11 PM Eastern. This is the first time the awards will be shown live; in recent years an edited version of the ceremony aired later on HBO. After the ceremony a highlights version will air on ABC on January 1.
More details about the ceremony have also been announced. Inductees Sheryl Crow, Missy Elliott, Chaka Khan, and Willie Nelson will perform, as well as special guests Brandi Carlile, Dave Matthews, 1994 inductee Elton John, H.E.R., Chris Stapleton, St. Vincent, New Edition, and more TBA, who will be on hand as well in some capacity.
Tickets are still available to attend the induction ceremony in person at Barclays Center.
This year’s biggest question mark is whether inductee Kate Bush will show, let alone perform. She hasn’t toured in over 40 years and has never played America. In addition to Kate Bush, the full list of 2023 inductees are Rage Against the Machine, Missy Elliott, Sheryl Crow, Willie Nelson, George Michael, and The Spinners, as well as DJ Kool Herc and Link Wray for Musical Influence; Chaka Khan, Al Kooper, and Bernie Taupin for Musical Excellence; and Don Cornelius for the Ahmet Ertegun Award.
