Circus Devils, the trio of Guided by Voices‘ Robert Pollard backed by siblings Todd & Tim Tobias, have announced Squeeze the Needle, which is their 15th album and first in six years. It will be out October 27 via GBV Inc.
The first single from the record is “Here We Are,” which is definitely not your average Bob Pollard composition, except in the context of Circus Devils. Powered by a heavy caveman beat, you might even call it bananas, especially after watching the video, which premieres in this post. Watch below.
Guided by Voices just held their 40th anniversary celebration in Dayton, OH and upcoming tour dates include NJ’s White Eagle Hall on October 7.
