Rob Crow of Pinback, Plosivs and more has announced that he has to cancel all touring for the “foreseeable future” due to chronic tinnitus.
“I’m trying every kind of therapy i can, but even my day to day is pretty difficult,” Crow wrote in a post on Plosivs’ Instagram. “It’s a constant screaming pitch around 11.1 kHz, and I’m just trying to stay positive. I have a couple finished records forthcoming, but I dunno about anything after that. I apologize for anyone’s altered plans. I don’t want to stop, but i just don’t have any choice for the short-term. Not looking for sympathy, just understanding. Like i said, I just wanna stay positive.”
Do what you have to do, Rob!
Pinback were scheduled to play this Thursday at the Rockaway Hotel in NYC, and Plosivs’ upcoming dates included Brooklyn’s Music Hall of Williamsburg on September 12 and Riot Fest. Both bands dates have been canceled.
