R&B singer Ravyn Lenae has announced her sophomore album, Bird’s Eye, which follows her great 2022 debut LP Hypnos. The album comes out August 19 via Atlantic, and it was executive produced by Kendrick Lamar/Drake collaborator Dahi. “Bird’s Eye signifies returning to a place of self-trust and unbending intuition while acknowledging the paths and turns I’ve taken to get here,” Ravyn says. “Revisiting the most basic parts of my identity has allowed me to fully embrace them and be proud of where I’m going.”
Along with the announcement comes the first two singles, “Love Me Not” and “Love Is Blind.” The former has a more maximalist approach than we’re used to hearing from Ravyn, and it really feels like the start of a new era, while the latter reminds us she still excels at airy R&B. “Love Me Not” also comes with a video directed by Ravyn herself. Check out both below.
