Last month, Queens of the Stone Age made their return to the stage for their first show in nearly a year; they’d postponed 2024 shows as Josh Homme healed from an emergency surgery. Homme has now discussed that health crisis a little with Consequence, telling them, “I was in a very difficult physical spot.”
“I performed in the Catacombs, and within about 20 hours I was being sedated and put under,” Homme continued to Consequence. “Then I spent the next seven months in bed. I had a lot of time to think, you know? I was told I was gonna spend 18 months, two years there, so I was not excited.”
Homme also told Consequence that he’s planning to work on “new Queens of the Stone Age music and ideally another Eagles of Death Metal record, more Desert Sessions, and possibly even a new band entirely.” Read their interview in full here.
