Portishead’s Beth Gibbons has shared a second single from her highly anticipated, long-in-the-works solo debut. “Reaching Out” starts out smoldering and bluesy — a great backdrop for Beth’s still amazing voice — but it then blows open wide with horns and crashing percussion. Cool song.
The video for “Reaching Out” was made by Weirdcore (Aphex Twin, Radiohead), who created an interactive visual of a 4D version of Beth falling through space and passing by different eras of her life.
