After announcing UK/Ireland shows, Oasis promised that their 2025 reunion tour will hit “other continents outside of Europe later next year,” and now they’ve specifically begun teasing US shows. A billboard in Times Square that the band also posted a video of to their Instagram stories reads: “If we need to put up a billboard to get these guys to come to the States, here it is.” No official word on what cities yet, but stay tuned.
Last week, tickets went on sale for the UK/Ireland shows on Ticketmaster, and fans were left frustrated by online queues, timeouts, and pricing. Over one million people reportedly queued up to purchase tickets to the shows at London’s Wembley Stadium alone. A response from Ticketmaster read: “As expected Oasis is incredibly popular. We’re processing orders as quickly as possible so please keep your place in line. Fans are advised to hold their place in line, make sure they’re only using one tab, clear cookies, and ensure they aren’t using any VPN software on their device.”
Ticketmaster then added, “Tickets for Oasis are still available, but inventory is now limited and not all ticket prices are available,” and “In Demand Standing” tickets were made available for more than double the price of general admission pre-sale tickets. After Oasis themselves posted, “Please note, Oasis Live ‘25 tickets can only be resold at face value via @TicketmasterUK and @Twickets! Tickets appearing on other secondary ticketing sites are either counterfeit or will be cancelled by the promoters,” Rolling Stone reports that fans then put a Community Note on Oasis’ tweet, saying, “Oasis published ticket prices which put Standing tickets in most of their venues at ~£150. Thats face value. Oasis have allowed for Ticketmaster to sell via dynamic pricing which has those exact same £150 face value tickets listed for £350+.” Rolling Stone also reports that hundreds of tickets have been listed on secondary markets as of Saturday. The UK government is now planning an investigation into the dynamic pricing strategy of Ticketmaster and other online sellers.
