The Coldplay kiss cam couple has become inescapable meme fodder, so of course prolific Twitter/X poster Liam Gallagher has come across them. He assured attendees of Oasis‘ reunion tour that they needn’t fear a similar fate; introducing “Slide Away” at their Manchester show at Heaton Park on Sunday (7/20), Liam asked, “do we have any lovebirds in the house? Don’t worry, we ain’t got any of that Coldplay snidey fucking camera shit,” he added. “Doesn’t matter to use who you’re fucking mingling with or tingling with, fingering with, none of our fucking business. But this one’s for the lovebirds anyway.”
Coldplay didn’t bring up the viral couple at their first show since the kiss cam incident on Saturday, but they did warn the crowd at Wisconsin’s Camp Randall Stadium what was about to happen, with Chris Martin saying, “We’d like to say hello to some of you in the crowd. How we’re gonna do that is we’re gonna use our cameras and put some of you on the big screen. So please, if you haven’t done your makeup, do your makeup now.”
Astronomer CEO Andy Byron, caught with the company’s Chief People Officer Kristin Cabot at Coldplay’s Foxborough, Massachusetts show, has since resigned. A statement from Astronomer reads, “Andy Byron has tendered his resignation, and the Board of Directors has accepted. The Board will begin a search for our next Chief Executive as Cofounder and Chief Product Officer Pete DeJoy continues to serve as interim CEO.”
The North American leg of Oasis’ tour starts in August, and includes East Rutherford, NJ shows at MetLife Stadium on August 31 and September 1. See all dates below.
