Oasis guitarist Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs, the band’s original rhythm guitarist who left in 1999 and is back for their current reunion, will miss some of their upcoming shows in Japan and Australia as he undergoes treatment for prostate cancer, which he was diagnosed with earlier this year. (He’d already successfully fought tonsil cancer three years ago.) “The good news is I’m responding really well to treatment, which meant I could be part of this incredible tour,” he writes. “Now, I am having to take a planned break for the next phase of my care, so I’ll be missing the gigs in Seoul, Tokyo, Melbourne and Sydney. I’m really sad to be missing these shows but I’m feeling good and will be back ready to go in time for South America. Have an amazing time if you’re going this month and I’ll see you back onstage with the band in November.”
“Wishing you all the best with your treatment Bonehead,” Oasis say, adding, “we’ll see you back on stage in South America.”

Oasis aren’t on the 2026 Coachella lineup as some had theorized, but they appear to be teasing some kind of continued activity; Liam Gallagher told the crowd “see you next year” before beginning the last song of what was their final London show in September. Stay tuned.
