Asbury Park’s Nylon (who share bassist Luk Henderiks and drummer Peter Gargano with Teenage Halloween and singer/guitarists Al Iannone and Justin Lombardo with Phantom) have just dropped a new two-song single, “PC Violence” / “Suspect.” It splits the difference between twitchy Devo-esque post-punk and raw hardcore punk, and it’s full of abrasive, delightfully weird energy.
The band says, “In a land that breeds hardcore and indie singer/songwriters, Nylon appears to have no business existing in their tourist-ridden hometown on the Jersey shore. The band aspires to bring a precise chaos with their music.” Listen below.
