Nick Knox, longtime drummer of influential psychobilly band The Cramps, has died at the age of 60. Knox joined The Cramps in 1977, replacing Miriam Linna, and left in 1991, staying with the band longer than any of their other drummers.
John D Morton, founder of Electric Eels, which Nick played in before joining The Cramps, confirmed the news on Twitter:
My friend Nick Knox shuffled off the mortal coil last night. I saw a self portrait of the artist Tseng Kwong Chi in front of the Eiffel Tower except his figure had been cut out. It was explained to me as a custom of remembering the dead by removing them from photos. pic.twitter.com/wr6ZD3iYZ6
