Morgan Nagler preps debut LP ft. Courtney Barnett, Allison Crutchfield, more, shares “Grassoline”

After co-writing songs with Phoebe Bridgers, Margo Price, Kim Deal, HAIM, and others, Los Angeles-based singer/songwriter Morgan Nagler (Whispertown, Supermoon) released her debut solo single, “Cradle the Pain,” a year ago. She’s now announced her debut album as a solo artist, I’ve Got Nothing to Lose, and I’m Losing It, due out on March 13 via Little Operation Records and More. She co-produced it with King Tuff‘s Kyle Thomas, and it also features backing vocals from Allison Crutchfield, Madi Diaz, and Bethany Cosentino, and guitar from Courtney Barnett, Meg Duffy, and Harrison Whitford.

“Mine is the story of somebody who decided to never stop,” she says. “Recently there have been more signs from the universe to keep going. But the ultimate sign has really just been within myself, realizing that I have a lifetime of experiences adn my own unique perspective, and that is the gift I have to offer.”

I’ve Got Nothing to Lose, and I’m Losing It includes “Cradle the Pain” and her other 2025 single, “Orange Wine,” and she’s shared another preview. The country-inflected “Grassoline” is an ode to weed, and you can watch the video below.

Nagler will play a release show at Los Angeles’ Permanent Records Roadhouse on March 12. That’s her only upcoming show at the moment.
