Menomena made a surprise return last month with their first new EP in 12 years, The Insulation (read our review), and the announcement of an I Am the Fun Blame Monster! 20th anniversary show for August 10 at Portland, OR’s Revolution Hall, and now more Menomena is here.
The band just launched a reissue campaign of their Barsuk Records era, and it will include unreleased music, b-sides, remixes, and rarities. The first album to be reissued is 2007’s Friend and Foe, and it comes with 10 bonus tracks, including three previously unreleased songs (“Golden Gate,” “Lochness,” and “Lone Ranger”), the 2006 Wet and Rusting EP, and the 28-minute mixtape “Magichat” that was originally released as a download via Pitchfork.
The band have also released a newly-enhanced version of the video for Friend and Foe‘s “Rotten Hell.” Check that out, and stream the expanded version of Friend and Foe, below.
