Philip Ekström, frontman of lightly gothy Swedish indie pop group The Mary Onettes, is gearing up to release a solo album, Trustblood, under the name H. Moon. The songs on grew out of the score Ekström wrote for Drake Doremus’s new film Endings, Beginnings; he added lyrics to leftover bits of score, and these songs — “small dark melodic ghosts from my soul” — were born. We’ve got the premiere of Trustblood‘s swirling, haunting title track. It’s a new direction for Ekström while still clearly being from the creative mind as The Mary Onettes. Listen below.
