Luna‘s five albums from the ’90s will be collected in one vinyl box set titled Luna: Long Players (92-99). There is also a sixth disc of rarities as well a 12×12 book that includes an interview with director Noah Baumbach. (You may remember frontman Dean Wareham did the score for Baumbach’s The Squid & the Whale.) The box set should be out in time for the holidays. As for how much it’ll cost, that’s still TBA but, for context, vinyl copies of their first album, 1992’s Lunapark, regularly fetch well over $100 on Discogs. Details below.
Luna, meanwhile, Brooklyn’s McCarren Park on Thursday (6/11), a free show as part of the 2015 Northside Fest. If you haven’t already, you can still claim free tickets. They’ll then be back as part of their fall tour for three shows in October. All dates are listed below.
