We’ve been looking forward to a follow-up to 2021’s Solar Power from Lorde for a while now, and she’s just shared what might be a hint that it’ll be announced soon. She posted a new video to TikTok of herself rushing through Washington Square Park, soundtracked by a snippet of a new song. From the clip, it sounded very promising, and in the vein of Melodrama‘s propulsive, gleaming electro-pop. Hopefully we’ll hear more soon; stay tuned.
Lorde also played a couple new songs during her 2023 set at UK’s Boardmasters Festival, and she shared another short snippet of a song to Instagram last year. In February, she appeared on a song with Marlon Williams, “Kāhore He Manu E.”
