Alabama Shakes singer Brittany Howard has released a Spotify Singles session, in which she does a version of “Stay High” from her 2019 debut solo album Jaime and also covers Funkadelic‘s “You and Your Folks, Me and My Folks” from 1971’s Maggot Brain. It’s no easy task to breathe life into a classic song like that one, but Brittany is the woman for the job and this cover is great. Listen below.
