Mantra of the Cosmos, aka the UK indie supergroup of Andy Bell (Ride / Oasis), Shaun Ryder & Bez (Happy Mondays, Black Grape), and Zak Starkey, are still working on their debut album but have just shared a new single, “Domino Bones (Get Dangerous),” which features vocals from Noel Gallagher.
“Domino Bones” is a pretty wild tune, dancey and psychedelic and kinda all over the place. It starts to make more sense after the third listen, though. If you’re wondering, it’s named after the first band Bez was in and Zak calls it “‘Free Bird’ for mods.”
Starkey adds, “I can’t wait to get this song out there and on the airwaves…Working with people like Noel, Shaun, Andy and Bez is always a pleasure – these are the greatest musicians of their generation. We have more singles coming this year with some VERY special guests – this is the year of the Mantra!”

Very soon Noel and Andy, along with Liam Gallagher, Bonehead, Gem Archer and Joey Waronker, will be on Oasis’ reunion tour, which kicks off July 4 in Cardiff, Wales and hits the NYC area on August 31 and September 1 at MetLife Stadium.
Starkey, meanwhile, has all his focus on Mantra of the Cosmos currently as he’s out again as The Who’s drummer.
