Jeff Rosenstock’s NYC residency has had guests, covers, new songs & more + 8th night added!

When Jeff Rosenstock announced his “potentially infinite” residency at Brooklyn’s Warsaw back in May, he said as long as it kept selling out, he’d keep adding more shows. The residency ended up extending to seven shows and it began last week, with all shows sold out except night seven, which happens Thursday (8/29) with JER. Well, that show just finally sold out yesterday, so Jeff has kept his promise and he added an eighth show happening Friday (8/30) at Warsaw with support from AJJ (playing in the classic duo form of Sean Bonnette and Ben Gallaty that they had way back in the day). Tickets are on sale now.

Jeff has had tons of surprises throughout the run. During the encore of night one, he brought opener Chris Farren on stage for a surprise reunion of their band Antarctigo Vespucci. They played two Antarctigo Vespucci songs and also covered Blur‘s “Song 2.” At night two, he played 2016’s WORRY. in full and brought out Ginger Alford from openers Good Luck (who were playing their first NYC show since breaking up in 2012) for the live debut of their collaborative song “Go Forth, Following Dreams” from Jeff’s Craig Before the Creek: An Original Movie soundtrack. He also did a partial cover of The Black Crowes‘ “Hard to Handle.”

At night three, Jeff brought out openers Catbite to cover “Here We Go Again” by Operation Ivy (who Catbite are also covering with Laura Jane Grace at Supernova Ska Fest and Riot Fest), and Catbite’s Brittany Luna also stuck around to play “9/10” with Jeff. Night four included two songs with Elise Okusami from openers Oceanator. At night five, Jeff opened with a cover of System Of A Down‘s “Chop Suey!” before playing 2023’s HELLMODE in full, did a song by his former band Bomb the Music Industry!, and brought out opener Laura Stevenson for multiple songs, including three of their Neil Young covers. At night six, which PUP opened, Jeff covered Courtney Barnett‘s “Pedestrian at Best” and Belle and Sebastian‘s “The Fox in the Snow.”
