In addition to leading a very busy solo career, Jeff Rosenstock does the music for Cartoon Network’s Craig of the Creek, and now he also just did the soundtrack album for the show’s accompanying new movie, Craig Before the Creek: An Original Movie. Jeff’s longtime Death Rosenstock band is his backing band on the album, and the album is also loaded with awesome guests, including Soul Glo’s Pierce Jordan, Catbite’s Brittany Luna, Good Luck’s Ginger Alford, RX Bandits’ Matt Embree, Linqua Franqa, some of the voices from the show, and a new song from Bruce Lee Band (the Mike Park-led ska band that Jeff is also in).
Jeff says, “FOR FANS OF Ennio Morricone, DRI, English Beat, Wendy Carlos, Atari Teenage Riot, Iron Maiden & John Williams all hucked into a bowl, hand-blended, turned into frosting and spread across the biggest sugar cookie you’ve ever seen!” He also adds: “SONGS!! DRUMS!! PIANO!! STRINGS!! WINDS!! HORNS!! BELLS!! GUITARZZZ!! EVERYTHING!!”
The full 39-track soundtrack album includes Jeff’s score for the film, and he also made a playlist of just the proper songs. “I like to think of the soundtrack as the double LP and the playlist as the 7″ if you’re trying to think of it in punk terms,” he adds.

Before he was Craig of the Creek, he was just Craig – a new kid in a new town. All Craig wants is to go back to his old friends at his old home. But when he learns that the nearby creek is hiding a lost treasure that could make his wish come true, Craig sets off on a journey to find it – navigating the perilous suburban wilderness, forging new friendships, all while being pursued by a fearsome band of pirates who are bent on destroying the Creek itself.
