
John Berry, co-founder of long-running indie rock/slowcore band Idaho, has sadly passed away. A post on the band’s Facebook reads:
John Berry passed away peacefully in his sleep a few hours ago.
He had a uniquely bright spirit that I know is still shining brilliantly in some other plane. So much love headed towards you right now….. We had quite a wild ride…thanks for showing me how to make music from the core.
No cause of death has been revealed. Rest in peace, John.
The band released albums consistently from their 1993 debut Year After Year through their ninth (and most recent) album, 2011’s You Were A Dick. Last year, they put out their archival compilation The Broadcast of Disease, which you can stream below.
