As USA Today reports, gunshots were fired during SXSW early this morning by the 6th Ave and Trinity St intersection in Austin, TX:
A person was taken into custody early Sunday after he fired gunshots into the air at the South by Southwest Festival in downtown Austin, police said.
Officers recovered a gun around the intersection of Sixth Avenue and Trinity Street near Trinity Hall at Old School Bar & Grill, where Austin-based rock group Hour Band was playing a free SXSW show.
As the Austin Police Department confirmed on Twitter, there were no injuries.
This comes one day after a Friday night showcase at Austin Music Hall with Erykah Badu was evacuated after approximately 150 people rushed the doors past security, and a gun was reportedly found. No suspect was found at that event, and no shots were fired.
