The 2025 edition of Glastonbury festival happens June 25-29, and while they haven’t revealed the lineup yet, tickets go on sale November 14. In years past, you had to refresh the ticket page from the moment tickets went on sale in hopes of getting through. People would form groups, each one trying to buy a block of tickets from different computers, hoping that at least one person gets through. (I have never gone to Glastonbury, but I’ve witnessed the frustration of trying to buy tickets in person.) This year, though, the festival is implementing a new system.
“The booking process itself for 2025 will be the same as in previous years, however the way in which you join the booking process is changing,” Glastonbury organizers write in the Tickets FAQ. “Rather than refreshing the holding page to attempt to access the booking page, this year, when the ticket sale begins (at 6pm or 9am respectively) everyone who is already on the glastonbury.seetickets.com page will randomly be assigned a place in a queue to access the booking process.”
The update continues: “Anyone who logs on once the sale has started will automatically be added to the back of the queue, so it’s important to make sure you are online ready at least a few minutes before the sale opens. Once you are in the queue, a progress bar will indicate how close you are to reaching the booking page.”
If you manage to reach the booking page, here’s where things continue to get different: “you will be asked to enter the registration number and registered postcode for the lead booker and up to 5 other people for whom you are attempting to book tickets. You will have 10 minutes to complete this page before your session expires, however tickets are not allocated at this point.”
Glastonbury notes that hopeful ticket buyers should not attempt with multiple tabs, as they “may lead to your IP address being blocked, preventing you from buying a ticket. The same applies to sharing cookies and QueueIDs.”
Tickets for Glastonbury 2025 are £373.50. Good luck!
