Members of Texas shoegazers Glare say that they have parted ways with vocalist and guitarist Christian “Rez” Resendez. Bassist Homero Solis writes on X/Twitter, “we have cut all ties and are no longer associated with Rez. out of respect and acknowledgment of all involved we ask everyone to respect their wishes of privacy during this difficult transition.”
As Lambgoat points out, another bandmember, Cesar “Izzy” Izaguirre (also of Riley!) writes, “Glare has cut ties and all association with Rez. Out of respect and acknowledgment of all involved we ask everyone to respect their wishes of privacy during this difficult transition.”
Arjana, a part of the band’s team, writes, “We have all parted ways and all association with Rez. Out of respect and acknowledgment of all involved we ask everyone to respect their wishes of privacy during this difficult transition. thank you all for the support, community over everything.” In a second tweet, she adds, “glare will be fine, we will be great- we will always take care and create spaces safe and fun for everyone. this is not the end.”
The band have not issued a statement at this time. They are currently scheduled to play a few shows, including an NYC date with Fiddlehead this month; no word yet if they will still appear on those bills.
