Future Islands have been working on new material, and they promised to “road test these new songs” on a short Northeast tour they announced last month. The first date of that tour, August 31 at Jersey City’s White Eagle Hall, sold out, so they’ve added a second show at the same venue the day before: it happens on August 30 at White Eagle Hall, and tickets are on sale now. After this run of shows with Future Islands, bassist William Cashion plays a show of ambient “postcard music” at National Sawdust on September 28. Tickets to that are on sale now.
