You’ve seen free concerts and film screenings outdoors in NYC parks – how about opera? The Metropolitan Opera, in association with the City Parks Foundation, presents their Summer Recital Series in 2019, bringing six free performances to all five boroughs in June. The series is now in its 11th year, and features rising young artists and Met stars performing arias, duets, Broadway standards, and other classical favorites.

This summer’s series kicks off on June 10 at SummerStage in Central Park, and continues at Brooklyn Bridge Park on June 12, Manhattan’s Jackie Robinson Park on June 13, The Bronx’s Williamsbridge Oval on June 15, Queens’ Socrates Sculpture Park on June 17, and Staten Island’s Clove Lake Park on June 19.
