Florence + The Machine taps Mitski, Aaron Dessner, IDLES’ Mark Bowen for new LP, shares title track

Florence + The Machine has announced her sixth album, Everybody Scream, due out on October 31 via Republic. It’s the follow-up to 2022’s Dance Fever, and she worked on it with Mitski, Aaron Dessner of The National, and Mark Bowen of IDLES. Here’s more from the press release:

After needing lifesaving surgery on the Dance Fever Tour, Florence’s recovery took her down the path of spiritual mysticism, witchcraft and folk horror as she felt the limits of her body and explored what it means to be “healed.” The album treads through womanhood, partnership, aging and dying; exposing the murky in the mundane.

She hasn’t shared the tracklist yet, but you can see the cover art below.

The first single is the spooky, dramatic title track, which she co-wrote with Mitski and Bowen. Watch the video, directed by Autumn de Wilde, below.
