Father John Misty has shared “Two Wildly Different Perspectives” from his new album Pure Comedy. The mournful ballad clearly has a sociopolitical message, and the video, directed by Matthew Daniel Siskin, looks at our obsession with guns from an early age via a collage made of many different internet videos. With the song, FJM released a one sentence statement: “More kids are going to die now thanks to the unbelievably selfish immigration policy of places like Saudi Arabia and the USA.” Pure Comedy is out April 7 via Sub Pop.
